SINIMMAR

Sinimmar is the Arab architect who built “AlKhawarnaq” palace of King “AlNoa’man”, the King of AlManazera in AlHirah in the Sixth Century AD.
* History and some of the remains of the palace speak about the wonderfulness and the greatness of that building, and how it was such of unmatched architectural and artistic creativity. The palace and his creator were celebrated all over the Arab world, which made King “AlGhasani” (in Greater Syria) feel very jealous and wanted to have a more important and greater palace than “AlNoa’aman’s”, so he invited Sinimmar for the same reason. This irritated King “AlNoa’man” and drove him to kill Sinimmar so that he would not be able to build another palace similar to his. Sinimmar’s creativity was faced by treachery and ingratitude. To Arabs at that time, that was a bad example, so they said : “Sinimmar’s Compensation”.
There are some other stories that speak about the same topic : “architectural wonderfulness” and the same meaning; that is criticizing Sinimmar’s compensation.
When we chose “Sinimmar” as a name for our company, we were trying to show gratitude for that creative architect who had drawn a beautiful picture of our Arab architectural civilization several ages ago.
